is labor coming?

I woke up this morining with period like cramping. I am almost 38 weeks. I'm just wondering if that could be a sign of labor coming. I haven't had any contractions yet...

It feels like cramps when u have contractions and when it got really bad to where I couldn't breathe I had to go into the er. I am 25 weeks and they said I was dehydrated and that can cause contractions. So I got lots of fluids and went home but you are farther along maybe braxton hicks? Just saying anyways I thought my contractions were cramps until the doc told me they were contractions

I'm 36 weeks and I've been getting cramping for the past few weeks, but I don't know if cramping is a sign of labor or not.
