is there a difference?

Is there a difference between your "bloody show" and when you lose your mucus plug?
I've been reading a lot lately and they seem the same to me.
Anyone...help please?

It's different for every woman, losing your mucus plug doesn't necessarily mean it will be tickled with blood, or stained pink/brown. But it's definitely a possibility and in many cases in fact true, not all. A bloody show can actually occur before losing your mucus plug, after or never. It can be part or result of a natural process of losing your mucus plug or it can be completely separate from the whole process. Some women will have a bloody show and never lose their mucus plug, while others may experience a bloody show during their experiences of losing their mucus plug. I lost mine at 34+ weeks, I never had a bloody show and my mucus plug was slimy, thick and in pieces but never had any blood. None!! This is my 7th pregnancy.
