getting a membrane sweep next week

I'll be past full term I am trying to avoid pitocin. What should I expect? Will it hurt? What are the chances it will work? What can I do after the sweep to help things along? Helllp! I so nervous. Can't. Wait to meet my little Sabrina

I did it with my second and it was uncomfortable but not bad I walked for 2 hours after and up and down my stairs I was 5 cm dialated when I had it done and later that night like 6 hours later I got to l&d and was 9 cm dialated

Mine worked for me i was 4cm dialatedwhen i had the sweep and went into labour the next day. I didnt find that it hurt was just a bit uncomfortable. Im hoping theyll do the same this time!

Have sex after you get it done. Thats what I was told with my first and went in labor the next morning

My experience was it did hurt a little bit. It wasn't unbearable tho. My Dr. Said if the baby was ready it would work and if not it wouldn't. I went home and power walked all day. The next day lost my mucus plug and then went into labor around midnight!
