just curious I need input

Im on birth control pills. I had sex Thurs & the condom broke (I was a couple of days before my placebo pills). Ive been taking my bc like Im supposed to but i was on metronidazole during this same week. I know antibiotics weaken bc, & I just wanted 2 know what r my chances of getting pregnant from this? Im now on my placebo pills & I still havent started my period......

I agree with Nickie.  Hard to say.  Yes, antibiotics can reduce the efficacy of birth control pills, so it was smart of you to use a backup plan.  Oops that the backup plan failed.  So, essentially, this can be compared to unprotected sex (not really, but kind of).  And anytime you have unprotected sex, you can get pregnant.  I would suggest that 2 weeks after you had this incident, you take a home pregnancy test.  Good luck, hun!

It is really hard to say. I was on bcp's when I got pregnant with my first baby boy but I was on antibiotics for over 3 weeks and was very sick for that time being. I think that if you are worried about it take a home test after 2 weeks after that experience. Good luck honey!
