just wondering...

I'm 39 weeks, is it normal to have some brownish discharge?? its not alot. its just noticable. Also, i have tried all sorts of safe inducing things, walking, dancing, bouncing, nipple stimulation ect...is there anything else to try and help labor come??? I am really anxious!

Yup, totally normal. As Victoria said it is most likely part of your mucous plug. It is not indicative of when you will go into labor. If you begin to have bloody show (gobs of discharge with red/brown streaks) then you could go into labor within 24 hours or in just a matter of days. Good luck!

First, congrats on being so close! The brownish discharge could be part of your mucus plug, which can be stained pink or brown. I just had my son nine days ago, and I tried EVERYTHING to get labor going, all the things you mentioned, but not much helped. I gave up trying to do anything to get it going, and the day I decided to rest and not walk ect...he decided to make his appearance. =)
