im 37 Weeks && I Have A 4 Year Old Daughter , She Is Beyond Excited For Her Sister Arrival. She Is Mature For Her Age.  Do You Ladies Think Its Appropriate For Her To Be In The Room During Delievery ?
i Need Help I Want Her To Be In There But My Fiance Think it Might Be Too Much For Her ?!

My little cousin who was 5 witnessed her sister be born and loved the experience

Have someone on hand to remove her from the room if she gets scared

Its not like shes gonna be down there watching she can sit by your side (:

I was 10 when I seen my sister give birth . I helped her and coached her through it cause I seen a lot of movies .  I think it did me great

I wouldn't let any of my children be in the room while in labor. Just not something they should see. And children are allowed in the l&d room you just have to have their shot records. (At least at the hospital where I delivered both my children.) My two year old was able to be in the room before birth and after we were done and cleaned up to see his little brother.

Ok Thank You Ladies . Yea I Was Wondering Will It Be Hard For To See Me In Pain.  ill Just Have Her Right Outside The Room Waiting.  but I Also Don't Want Her To Feel Unwanted.

No children 12 and under are allowed in the room while you deliver and cannot visit until you are in the maternity room.

Mal sure you call you hospital and make sure they are allowed. Many of them do not even allow children under a certain age to visit due to health concerns for the newborns

I personally think its wrong I've a 5yr old and I definitely wouldn't let her at the birth.  

She will however be first to meet her brother after birth.
