I had severe nausea the first 16 weeks with this pregnancy. I had times I couldn't even get off the couch cause the slightest movement sent me dry heaving.. I never actually threw up (Thank God, knock on wood) but I dry heaved constantly. I found that salt & vinager chips really helped me, country time lemonade like the one you make yourself, and finally I was prescribed zofran which works wonders. I had a week where I could only eat spaghetti & sauce.. Another of just blueberry scones, & another of just cereal... If you can't even keep water down you need a prescription for an anti emetic (zofran, phenergan) .. Try sucking on lemons or even smelling them I heard has helped wonders
Ooooh I went through this orange juice was my best friend that was the only thing I wanted
I was the same way hun. Unfortunately all that matters is really holding down water, which I had a problem with too, maybe try flavoring your water? You really don't need to start gaining weight till the 2trimester anyways, and so barely gain any till the third. Each pregnancy is different. My sickness hasn't went away and I'm 16+3! It's dreadful but you'll get some energy back eventually. Try asking your doctor for morning sickness medicine! They help me a butt load! I wanted to do no medication but my sickness gets bad to were I get the shakes. Good luck hun! Hope you feel better!
I have been hospitalized twice for dehydration. My body sometimed just rejects anything. Even water! !!! I mean who throws up water... then I tried suppositories medicine .. -_- .... it kinda helps.... then I try apples and strawberries and by now my boyfriend is tired of seeing it all in his truck and in the bathroom.. oooops....
Fatigue, nausea and food aversion is all normal and will ease up into your second trimester, normally. I agree with Mandatace, if you don't eat/drink tell doc.
I personally found eating very small but frequent meals helped a ton. Sucking on a lemon slice eased my stomach, or hard candies such as jolly ranchers were also my saving grace. Ginger is known to work, but small frequent meals......even not eating will upset your tummy. Tums worked wonders for me as well.
Probably the last thing you want to hear, is with time it should pass or at least ease. Try bland food like saltines, or buttered toast. Eat small amounts regularly and try ginger ale to drink or a ginger tea. If it gets worse or you don't improve, go and see your dr. You may be dehydrated or need something to help. Good luck.
