I was never able to time my contractions either. They were just like constant extreme period cramps that never dulled. Even when they told me to push during contractions I just kind of winged it cuz I couldn't feel them come and go. Labor was 12 hours with my first, then 8 with my second so I'm hoping it'll be even shorter this time!

I totally understand how you feel. I'm so scared of labor this time. My first 2 were incredibly easy pregnancies, only every dealt with slight nausea, then their labors were fast and easy also. This pregnancy has been so nerve wracking, from severe food aversion to horrible Braxton Hicks, constant fatigue, horrible pain in my lower back and hips then also I've had 7 ultrasounds this pregnancy to keep an eye on low lying placenta, low amniotic fluid, and baby's growth. I'm terrified labor is going to be bad.
