first ultrasound...long vent
Well I had my first ultrasound done today. Got to see my baby. There was a few things that I didn't like.
1. my bf and mom only got to see the baby for like a minute. Long enough for the us tech to point out the head,legs,arms, and feet. Plus the way that I was laying down I barely got to see anything.
2. I was only allowed to have two people in the room with me. Why wasnt it possible to take shifts? I meen for the amount of time she it took her to show us the baby it might have taken her what an extra 10 minutes tops.
3. I wasn't able to get a photo or anything. I hear about all these other girls that get photos with all of their ultrasounds.it would have been nice to show the family I picture during christmas.

In Uk you only get two U/S and you have to pay £5 for one picture or £10 for 3 pictures... you get one at 12-14wks and they ask you whether you are buying pictures.. and they put either one ultrasound screen infront of you or on the side where mother and father can see the baby.. i didnt buy one at my first but she did down syndrome measurements so it took her about 5mins but with my second it took her 10-15mins... and she showed me each and every bit of baby.. and i asked for picture... i am not sure how it works in your area but it does sound bit rude to me... atleast she could have shown you baby properly...
They don't have to give you pics, but most of them do it to be nice and I know here there can be no more than 2 people in the room unless you go to the place where you have to pay.
At 17 Weeks they could have told you boy or girl if baby was positioned right!
I'm only allowed one person in the room here, So I thought that was pretty standard. I go have 3d ones if other people wanna come. And I don't think they HAVE to give u pics but I got pics at my first and second ones. And the 3D ones. I suggest going for a 3d one. They let u Have up to six people in there and it's amazing. I almost cried!
I only had one person in at all my u/s this and last pregnancy. The rooms at my office are really tiny though.
That's crazy! My first u/s they gave me 5 pictures I would definitely switch where you're going!
I have pics from 6,8,and 16 weeks so far and I could have was many ppl was I wanted in the room....I would be furious if I were you. You really should look in to a u/s college and are if they will do one for you. I know hete they are free
I have never heard of a place letting you have moretan two ppl in during an ultrasound
My first was at 5weeks and u couldn't see nothing on them! NOTHING. That lady needs to meet some of us. Im with Jessiebaby!
That's b/s at all my ultrasounds I got pics even at my high risk dr just to make sure everything was fine. My first set of pics was when I was 10+4. That lady wouldn't have liked me
Lol ya my bf and I weren't too impressed. I'm 17 weeks. The lady said that I'll be getting a pic next ultrasound when they do a full anatomy scan around 20 weeks.
I'd be pissed to. we get at least 4 pics every time we get an u/s. Got some at 8weeks,12weeks,20,28,32 and for our 36 two weeks ago...we didn't even have to ask. Maybe it depends on their policy if they have one.
No way! I so would've said somethin'! I only get one u/s and If that happened to me, I would've been furious! I would call and ask and let them know you were upset. Was It for your anatomy and gender determination? Or juss a check up? I'm not sure If they give you pics other then when they check all the bones and organs and tells you If It's a boy/girl...but I could be wrong... like I said, I only get one u/s lol. I know I would love to have a pic. each time I have one done to compare (If I was able to have more than one).
That tech lady stinks!! At you're next u/s mention it so they know exactly what you want. If you call and ask I very they could get you at least 1 still print cause they snap pics on the computer during it! I would call and find out how far along are you?!!
That's pretty rude of them! How far along are u? I can't believe they were that bad! Maybe u can find a school that gives free ones out.
