last night at the er...

I started to bleed alot more and decided that I wanted to go to get checked out. I was so scared as to what they'd find. I kept crying and telling myself and my fiance, Joseph, that everything was going to be okay. Then they did a pelvic exam and told me my cervix was irritated. Then we got a vaginal ultrasound done and found the baby was still healthy, and moving around, with a beautiful heart beat of 157 bpm. I cried uncontrollably. I was so relieved. He or she was so beautiful! We are at 8 weeks by measurements. Unfortunately, I am on bedrest and am grounded from intercourse for 3 weeks. Anybody else have stories from the er of relief? I see alot of sad ones but no encouraging ones.

Hi I was in the hospital on friday night due to irritation to  my cervix as well from foreplay. I did not know what was happening I had no pain cramping or anything just started to bleed every time I peed. They put me in L&D instead of ER obviously because I was 27 weeks exactly and they checked the baby put her on monitors she moved away and they gave her an A+ for movement which I was relieved about and her heart rate was 150 which is normal for her.. stayed over night to be monitored and did not sleep because I kept wanting to check to make sure bleeding stopped. It finally stopped at 340am doctor came in at 11am did a cervix check and thank god my cervix is still thick which is great news means baby isnt coming any time soon :) and checked for any damage done and she said she thought it was due to foreplay. She put me on pelvic rest until I spoke with my doctor and luckily ny doc called last night and told me im safe to continue intercourse.. so good news does happen smart for not waiting for things to get worse! Great thinkin mama :) prayers to ur baby

Love to see good news! I bled early on in pregnancy, was put on bed rest for a month due to "forced abortion/possible miscarriage" (hardest thing to do is lay around and be lazy when you're forced!) continued on with a healthy pregnancy, he's now 3 years old and wiiiiiiiiiild!

That's awesome mama. Sorry about the bedrest and the panic, but I'm glad everything worked out okay for you.
