Has anyone had preeclampsia and how did you know/ find out?

I found out last Friday I have Preeclampsia, I'm 35 weeks with twins and am being induced tomorrow because of it.
I found out because the amount of swelling I've received in the last week. Also I'm not peeing out nearly the amount I'm putting in.

I'm in the hospital doing the 24 hour urine collection and find out tomorrow if I'll be induced. I'm so nervous!!

Just was told last night that I have miled preeclampsia. They want to wait till I am 37 weeks to induce me. I am 35 weeks today. But befor I was pregnant I would get headaches pretty regularly & still have been last night my blood pressure was high and they found protein in my urine. But my blood tests were all normal.

I'm doing the 24 hr test right now and blood test tomorrow. Luckily I'm 35 weeks so he should be safe (:

Did they draw blood to confirm it? I started to have symptoms a few days ago. Headache, slight pain on rght side, really bad swelling, high bp, however no protein in urine. They automatically said I'm fine since there was no protein in my urine so I didn't do the 24 hr urine test. But they drew blood to double check.

First one developed it at 28wks, I had severe swelling and extremely high bp then urine test confirmed protein, delivered baby at 35wks. This time developed it at 15wks, mild swelling and high bp with constant headache, just delivered baby last week at 36wks.

I just had my baby boy 3days ago at 33 week, my protein was at 7000 and i never had symptoms i found out just because of my Drs appointment on monday.

I found out with the 24 hour urine test. Then it was bed rest until they took my son at 37 weeks and he was perfect!!!

My BP was high, severe swelling especially in my hands, slight pain below my ribs, headaches, spots in my vision and eventually they found protein in my urine. I was induced at 37w5d, on Dec 1st (5 days ago) Bub arrived and everything has gone, no more swelling, no more sickness, no more high BP. Doctor made the right decision I believe, it was safer to get bub out now than later as I was deemed high risk.. definitely keep onto your doctor about it! Its not a nice thing :(

My bp has been pretty high for 4 days now and I had some protein in my urine. But I don't have headaches. I'm doin the 24 hour urine test just wondering how some other people found out they had it.

My BP was spiked and I was having headaches when I was first diagnosed. I would also see spots,  but not everyone does. Do you think you have any symptoms? If so make sure you speak up! Pre E is very dangerous unless carefully monitored.
