leg crampings and numbness???

im 38w4d pregnant with my second lil boy... and for the past week or so i have been getting really sharp shooting pains and cramping on the inside of top of my legs, right inbetween the crease of my leg and pelvic area.. butnits only for a matter of seconds and then i will go all numb around the bottom of my stomach and pelvic area pubic area and the tops of my thighs its quite uncomfortable and worrying and the same time because i never had anything like this woth my first so im not exactly sure what it means could it mean labour could be close? also iv had diffrences in my doscharge iv had complete clear discharge, iv had thickish creamish/yellowish discharge.. iv had clear and thick at same time.. n only 3 times with about 3 days apart iv had a tiny spec of blood but nt had any specs now since 5 days ago "/ iv also just started with diarreah :( he still moves around quite a lot as iv been told he excessivly active, sonim not sure again if i have lost my plug, or still in process of loosing it "/ or was it just because of my cervix thining out? again i never had nothing like this with my first so im still unsure what all this mean and could i be close to labour?? any help would be muchly appriciated thank you xx

thanks sandy that helps quite a lot :) n my midwife has told me she definatly thinks he wnt be late and could come early.. its just a scary thought nowin only 10 days left all this happening but i never had it with my first.. and i was 8 days late with my first.. so to no that he can come early and only 10 days left till my due day its just making me on edge n every slight twinge i think its going to start lol.. i have the midwife tuesday shud i mention it to her? or is it something i shouldnt really worry about? xx

The pain and numbness in your legs is probably happening when your baby shifts on to a nerve i have sciatica and the sciatic nerve starts on your lower back right above your butt and travels down the back of your legs when it gets pinched i get a shooting pain that travels down my leg and a kit if numbness too and i know you said your pain/numbness us in a different area so it could be a different nerve he's sitting on. As for the discharge you'll get a lot of different variations of discharge during this stage if your pregnancy bcuz of where and how your baby is sitting/positioned inside your belly the bloody discharge is more than likely your mucus plug cuz you can lose little bits of it at a time or it can all come out together. I can't be sure that labor us coming soon but seeing at though your 38wks it's obviously coming sooner than not i hope it gets better and you get to meet your little guy soon though! Things will probably get a little more uncomfortable before he gets here though but keep your head up you're almost there!
