Who are u too judge the opinion of her doctor.. last i checked your not a doctor and seeking medical advice from your doctor..smh If her doctor wants to do a sweep on her at 37 weeks thats between her and doctor.. If giving the chance to have a sweep at 37 weeks from your doctor some of yall who doctor won't induce till 40 or over wouldn't think twice.lmao Again to all who has something to say i had my son at 36 weeks 2 days and he was 6 lbs 4 ozs and 21 inches long with no nicu stay and sucking fine. My son is now 2 months and weighing just over 12 lbs and fine as can be.. hahaha thought i'll share..pow:)

Your dr knows best. Remember he would be inducig you if otherwise. A drs main priority is to get baby out safe, plently of women get induced early. Good luck :-)

If its gonna happen, why are you speeding it up? Lol... and actually Dr shouldn't be inducing until your passed your due date unless your baby or you are at risk of complications like death! So I wouldn't trust your doc if he's inducing you because he thinks your ready.that's not really up to him.. its up to your body. I know every one wants there baby as soon as possible so your gonna go along with the doctor if he's like oh yip lets induce you just because we can. And clearly, no offence, but if your bodies ready then why are you not in labor?

Same with me. I love my dr! I hope he never moves away.

Congrats on your little one too. Your baby will be in your arms before you know it.

I also just had my third baby at 37 weeks and he is perfectly healthy. My whole pregnancy the dr told me I wouldn't make it to my due date, and I didn't. He even broke my water for me.  If you can't trust your dr, who can you trust??

No offense febmama but my body is clearly ready and my doctor even agrees,he didn't think.i.would even make it through the weekend. Im a single now to three with this baby and i have to support my kids,so if the doctor thinks im ready and my.body is showing signs im ready then he is fine with trying a sweep. Already been to l&d twice in a week and a half due to contractions, they havent been close enough to keep me yet. Everyones body is different everyones doctor is different.

At 37 weeks they have only JUST learned how their sucking reflex.. why can't you just let your body do what it does.. I know about the pain to it's not nice! I'm disabled some days,  I really mean that.Full term does not mean ready baby! I'm 40 weeks now and I'm glad no ones been messing with my cervix. Your baby can actually be up to 2 weeks of development wise at full term.

Sorry phone   Anyways from the bottom of your uterus. This irritates your uterus and can cause labor contractions. I've had it done. It's like having a rough cervixcal check not painful just uncomfortable  :)

A sweep is where te doctor checks your cervix an if its open enough try can use a finger to detach the bag of waters from the bottom
