lose of amniotic fluid

are there any new development for a woman at 21 weeks that has lost her amniotic fluid besides the fact that the baby may have developmental problem. has no doctor find a way to help the baby become stronger and without problems because of this problem. medical science is that slow that doctors cannot detect this problem before it happens? maybe this a situation in which doctors need to start looking more into the whys and how to stop the problems because i positive that there is a sign somewhere to show that this about to happen.

This discussion is related to 21 weeks pregnant, losing amniotic fluid.

what do i do? I am 20 weeks and the baby has almost no fluid. The doctor suggest an abortion or to just call it a miscarriage. They say there is no way the baby will make it without the amniofluid to help my babys lungs to develope.

Lost all amniotic fluid or some? Bedrest and drinking lots of fluids is all that you can do, make sure NO lifting, and good luck! I hope everything turns out well for you!!
