low progesterone

My daughter just took her 1st dose of prometrium 200mg and already 45 minutes later she's feeling tired and dizzy.  Is there something she can do to minimize the effects?

I have had to take progesterone with 2 of my pregnancies. My first time taking it was by injection. I don't really remember being tired. Just that my injection sites hurt really bad after a few days. My current pregnancy I started taking prometrium in 100mg capsules 3 times a day 3 days after ovulation. I was extremely tired the whole time on it. The only thing my dr said I could do was to take a b6 vitamin at the same time. It also helped with my morning sickness. But I would have her ask her dr before she starts taking anything to help.

I agree with mikaleen.  I to had to take it and was told to take it at night.  Even the next day though it made me SOO tired, I could literally nap all day lol.   Good luck as well. :)

I took it for a past pregnancy, my Dr. told me to use it at bedtime so if I was feeling dizzy I'd be laying down and it wouldn't interfere as much.  Sorry I don't have any other suggestions. =(  Good luck!
