My boyfriends mom called and told him to tell me I'm not allowed outside for it. Haha. I don't know why so many people believe all these crazy superstitions. Now my boyfriend says I can't do it. I was reading up on it and apparently red panties and a safety pin are suppose to stop the effects. Am I the only one who thinks this is ridiculous?

I think its stupid also. how does a ribbon or a saftey pin protect your baby from the effects of the moon.????? its an old wives tale.

Oh man! The lunar eclipse is tonight, and I couldn't find my keys or a safety pin, so I tied myself to a metal pole until it was over!!

Right? I mean I understand peoples beliefs but my bf was like my "mom was pregnant with my older sister the year of an eclipse and when she was born my mom said there was a lot of babies there that had defects" just because there was an eclipse that year then that's obviously the reason.

No I also do and the fact people keep making a big deal about it is annoying asf  I'm over it
