I CRAVED turkey sandwiches when I was pregnant and you better recognize that I ate them like they were going out of style, its really just a precaution, you will be fine if you don't heat them up. My baby is totally healthy and so was I and billions of other moms as well

This is what its about, it will not cause your baby to be unhealthy! This is the issue...it is possible that lunch meat and soft cheeses can contain a bacteria called listeria. Anybody can eat it and get infected by it but pregnant women have a 20% more chance of getting it due to our lower immune systems. If you were to be infected by it it could possibly takes weeks before you show symptoms and honestly you would get treated before it ever infected your baby. They say heat the meat up just in case to kill the bacteria (if it was to be present). I say eat it, I've been eating soft cheeses this whole pregnancy lol

See the problem with lunch meat that comes in the prepackaged containers is it can contain a virus that could harm the baby idk how much of a chance it is but my doctor explained it would be like me when I'm not pregnant eating chicken not cooked all the way(still raw), and me catching a virus I would ask your doctor if its that bad. My doc said I could eat lunch meat just to warm it up or get it freshly cut and I could eat it could and that would eliminate the chances.
