marijuana and pregnancy? *please read*

So i have always been using marijuana for a number of health reasons
It has always helped me. Well i just found out i am 5 weeks 5 days pregnant and i have been smoking marijuana everyday for the last 5 weeks 5 days. As soon as i found out i quit because i didnt know if this could harm my baby. My question is, are there any women who are pregnant that smoke marijuana? And Are there women that have smoked marijuana and had a healthy baby?

^ agreed.. if you're on state insurance they can and will drug test without consent.. they can do a drug test without your consent if they think that the child is at risk as well.

If marijuana is illegal in your state they can and will drug test you with or without your verbal consent. By you giving them a urine or blood sample you give them consent to test it for whatever they want. I do not smoke, never have but I know they test my urine for all drugs every time I go in. One day I even had a false positive then they asked for a hair sample to prove I haven't smoked in the last week or month or whatever it is and I agreed to clear my name but I know in some hospitals in Ohio if you come back positive twice they have an obligation to report you to child protective services. My brother in law works for them he said most times though they can't do anything unless when they test the baby when he or she is born and if they come back positive that's when they can do something.

Im 34 weeks, a medical patient, and still currently smoking and taking medibles. My little one is growing just fine. I have 3 friends with babies that smoked during their pregnancies (one smoked a lot, heavy medicator) and her baby is super smart, and growing fine. Im not worried.

Also, doctors can not drug test you without your consent. Just make sure you read what you sign.

Google the 30 year study done in Jamaica by a Harvard student. There is a lot of good information. They found that edibles and teas are better than smoking, because smoking deprives the baby of oxygen. But it actually might prevent autism. Don't pay attention to any studies done in north America, they group marijuana, alcohol, tobacco, meth, and heroine
together with studies. The Jamaican study is the best.

Extra thought...I asked my doc about the risk of it being in the placenta or in the baby's system when it's born and he told me that it was better to pretty much stop while I'm ahead. I was 20wks.

425tips is RIGHT!!! It does suck seeing everybody you hang with "relax" in your face, but trust...it's worth the wait. I smoked daily til I was about 18wks. When I went to the doc it was pretty embarrassing when he told me everything was good except for the wonderful cannabis in my system. The trip part was that I had just smoked the day before. Not very smart. If I were you I would wait as long as I could before making a prenatal apt. if you haven't already. Wait and go in at prob about 12-15wks if you're not having concerns, just so that it won't be so fresh in your system. I'm not saying the test will be neg but it'll help.

By the way im 24 weeks now .  My boyfriend still smokes to these day all I can do is just stare like Grrrrr so jealous.....

I use to smoke everyday too. I stop too  , I tried to do research and alot people say it doesn't harm the baby . But I decided not to risk it so I stop , i dont wanna risk loosing my baby. I miss smoking , everyone I see my boyfriend im like damn I miss feeling so chill and getting rid off my headaches that I had everyday. I say ask doctor , just to make sure you don't get trouble Or loose the baby When you have it.

Another reason I stop I had alot stomach aches When I did smoke in my first weeks so it got me scared. When I had nausea everyday and I couldn't eat I wish I could of smoke.
