marijuana

before I found out I was pregnant I smoked a few times, obviously thinking I wasn't pregnant.
I'm not asking for hate because I didn't intentionally try to hurt my baby, and I quit once I found out, but will that show up on my babies drug test once she's born? or will they even drug test her? I live in Texas and I'm not too sure about this law they have on the test after giving birth.
I've been hearing that drs randomly drug test you throughout your pregnancy  and ive also heard that if they do they have to tell you. so I'm quite confused bc I take pee tests every time I go in and they've never mentioned anything to me.

I did a lot of research on this and Texas is the worst state to get caught in...they would put u in jail for a.minimum of.3 years however...it will be out of your system 30 days or.less from when you smoked especially if you're taking a parental multivitamin because they contain niocin, and drinking a lot.of water and even if the baby was bigger you didn't harm it at all...a lot of mid wives suggest pot for morning sickness

My sister smoked Marijuana throughout her whole pregnancy with my nephew. They drug tested her when she first got pregnant and they told her that if they saw it again, they would get child services involved at the birth. But she managed to have clean urine while smoking, so I'm pretty sure you will be fine. You can ask your doctor though, if you haven't done it since you found out, I'm sure they will be understanding.

The urine tests are to check for protein. As far as drugs showing up in baby's system, if you stopped early on I don't think anything will show up. And if you're really worried you can always talk to your doctor about it.
