Could mean either. Only an u/s could tell for sure, but if your doctor isn't concerned then he/she probably won't order one.
every week your suppose to be the number of cenitmeters that the week that you are right? i was 23 weeks measuring 25 centemeters? so i measuring 2 weeks ahead right?
yep. It's pretty common & it may not stay that way to the end.
Ok so I don't in any way get this what exactly gets measured? And when do they start checking what ur measured at? I had a midwife appt for my 18-20w check up and they didn't check my uterus in any which way only did blood pressure n talked about vita d n breast feeding =|
They should be measuring fundal height...from pubic bone to top of uterus. They should measure every time...I'm measuring 2 MONTHS ahead, but there are two in there!
I thought so cause they checked it all at my 12w but then didn't this time ill ask about it when I go back on the 30th jan
My doctor doesn't start measureing until 24+ weeks unless it appears way off. Some do it every visit from the begining others don't.
My doctor just started measuring me at 21 weeks every doctor is different !
Don't worry that your measuring 2 weeks ahead. If your doctor was concerned he/she would say something. I measured ahead with my first child. I'm 26 weeks 4 days right now. I won't know what I'm measuring again til the 17th but at 24 weeks I was closer to measuring 25 weeks. With a second pregnancy though, I gain weight faster. I wouldn't worry about it.
Maybe u gave em wrong period calculations n are two more weeks than wat they told u
How did they find that u were having twins cuz i measure a month and a half ahead????
Its normal to measure 2 weeks off. It often changes, could be baby is having a growth spurt. At my last appointment I measured 11 weeks ahead!! 35 centimeters at 24 weeks, but I also have two in there :)
just if i keep measuring 2 weeks ahead do then then change my due date because she didnt touch my due date ...its still may 4th...
I am measuring nearly 4 weeks ahead and am now 35 weeks. I had a scan this week and baby is a normal weight and I have the normal amount of fluid. I have pelvic problems and a history of large babies which is why they did the extra scan. The measurements can be off by a week or two. It may just be the way that you are carrying but babies greatly vary in size so it's nothing to worry about. The size of the baby and your tummy won't effect your due date as the earlier scans measure development which are very accurate at determining due dates.
im not worried at all baby is healthy!! i just dont know if i can handle delivering a 9 pound baby vbac!! lol i want a big baby but also i wanna deliver really close to 40 weeks i dont want my due date pushed back lol im nervous as it is!!
Measurements are given according to scan u get at 20wks... They check measurements and thn give u fundal chart where midwife starts to put marking according to every week... Usually thy like you stay at 10percentile however some women can go above that...if its not going according to line they perform u/s to check what can be the cause... This is according to my midwife...
She started measuring me at 26wks.. I was measuring 25wks according to my 10p3rcentile thn at 28wks i was measuring 26wks... When i had my 31wks when i suppose to measure 28 but i measured 30wks... Which was in 90percentile.. I had to get u/s the second day n it turned out baby had grown n already measuring 4.18lb.. Now i hve been told to w8 34wks appointment if i measured above tht will be getting another u/s... So dont worry ur doctor should perform u/s to c growth of baby...
I have measuring 2 weeks ahead since I was about 14 weeks.. My doctor doesn't seem concerned. But I hope it doesn't mean that my baby is going to be big. Lol my husbands family all have 10-12 pound babies.
It could be possible... It ws bit shock for me. . Since i found out baby is measuring big i m so thinking abt epidural now... But i m not going to mke decision till i find out at 34wks.... Hopefully he stays at 90percentile..
according to what iv heard if i go back in feb and measure 2 weeks ahead again...then maybe shell look into it it didnt bother her at all!! as long as im not measuring behind then it doesnt concern me
Yh if baby measures small n thy find no change at growth NHS tend to inducethat women early i m not sure what they do with women measuring ahead... My midwife made sure its not too much aminiotic fluid.. N its indeed baby itself. ....
