measuring big 2 questions

At my ultrasound today my baby measured 10 days ahead of where I should be.  I thought I would be 14 weeks and the baby was at 16 weeks.  She told me that the dating scan I had at 6 weeks would be much more accurate and that just because the baby is bigger doesn't mean that it is developing any faster.  My first question is has anyone had this happen and what was the outcome?  She said gestational diabetes could be a factor but she also said that the baby could've just hit a growth spurt and would balance out at the next ultrasound.  My other question is despite the development not being 16 weeks just the size do you think I might feel movement any sooner? Surely that only relates to size right?

at my last doctors appointment feb 1st i was 26 weeks and my belly measured 28 weeks. I took the glucose test the following week and I dont have gestational diabetes so I think she just had a growth spirt :p The doctor said that she will most likely just be a big girl :p

I didn't think to see what my husband and my birthweight was, or to look up the other symptoms of diabetes!  thanks so much I will have to do my research.

I was measuring 7 days earlier then my due date when they did my anatomy scan.   They just told me that he may be a larger babyand that he had a growth spurt.  I have my sugar test next week  but I don't have any signs of Gestational diabetes so I'm trying not to get too worried.

now that being said my DH was 7 1/2 lbs and a twin... so I'm thinking a big baby may just be in my future.
