First Appointment
I went to my primary doctor where he confirmed my pregnancy through a urine/blood test and said I'm about 4 weeks today. I have my first ob appointment in a week. What should I expect? Would I have a vaginal ultrasound done the same day?
Where I'm from most obs don't usually see you till your 8 wks and first visit is lots of questions and family history, urine dip and blood work and then they will usually see you back in a month and that's when they do the ultra sound. Every ob is different though so it's hard to say but that's been my experience with my pregnancies.
A pelvic exam and you might get an ultrasound.... I say might because your only 4 weeks and most of the time they wait until closer to ten weeks for an ultrasound. And FYI.... If you get one it will be vaginal and incredibly uncomfortable.
