Lots of doctors will tell you differently. I drink tea most days and baby and i are also healthy! My only craving has been coca cola so iv certainly had some of that too! Everything in moderation :)
@littlemumtobe I know that's what I thought! I asked my ob as soon as I found out I was pregnant about all the precautions I should take, such as soft cheeses, deli meats, caffeine intake, and skin care products. The only thing she said was to not drink more then 2 cups a day of caffeine, that if I liked coffee and any other drink to just not drink it accessibly. And same here baby and I are both healthy and happy as can be! I guess the only real answer is to ask your dr and see what they recommend.
I was never told any warnings of tea I've been drinking it my whole pregnancy and baby and I are completely healthy though I still get morning sickness (it's why I started) I drink way more than 2 cups a day an have no clue if its caffeinated or not.. It just tastes good and soothes my stomach.. No one told me ask my dr..?
Maybe it just depends on the person and what your dr tells you. I'd recommend asking, my ob never has said anything like that. Baby and I are where we need to be and healthy as can be.
You have to avoid drinking tea or coffee because its bad for the baby you have to drink tea that caffeine free same with coca cola if you keep drinking it its bad
I've never heard of it causing an issue drinking caffeinated tea. I've done it this far and baby and I are perfectly healthy! As long as you don't exceed your 2 cup maximum you should be fine.
Ive been drinking tea throughout my whole pregnancy, not decaf either ive never been told you cant or to avoid? :)
They told me after the first trimester you could drink decaf teas :) the only tea I drink is chamomile tea to relax and can sleep !
I LOVE tea! I drink caffeinated and decaf. I actually just had mango sweet tea for dinner (:
It depends on the herbs and spices in the tea. Some are fine, some can very dangerous to the baby! Look up all the ingredients before drinking any.
Yes ma'am. A lot of tea you buy is caffeine free but most don't have that much caffeine to begin with so its safe just don't drink it constantly.
