minocycline in pregnancy

Hi Can anyone, please give me any advice, Ive been taking minocycline tablets for 5 months and have just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant the last few days I increased the dose to 200mg as my skin was terrible. I am now worried sick that I have caused fetal damage to my nuborn baby.

Can anyone advise me what to do

Thank you.

They didn't send me for early scans.
It wasn't a concern for them.
My son was due today but he still hasn't arrived but he is a healthy little bub with no problems what so ever.
Try not to stress because that is probably worst for you and your bub than anything else.
All the best.

Thanks Mog for your advise, did your doctor send you for any early scans to check fetus. Also was everything ok with your baby and healthy when born.

Thanks again x

I was also on Minocycline and when I fell pregnant had to stop taking it under my doctors advice.
I don't think you should worry about it harming your baby from taking it the past few weeks but you should stop taking it and maybe talk to your doctor about alternatives.
I still continued to use the topical face treatment and I actually found that during my pregnancy my skin has cleared up a lot.
I hope this helps and all the best with your pregnancy x
