Hello there! I found your post and I think I'm going to be in a similar situation. I know all insurance carriers are different, but what was the cost of the pill?

sorry for your loss, my first pregnancy stopped developing at 5 weeks and i was prescribed a pill that was inserted vaginally to help me pass the tissue.  I think it was easier for me to go through it at home rather than have to have a dnc. time heals i promise.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

I am assuming you mean 4 weeks pregnant?  In a very early loss like that most of the time a d&c is not required at all.  So yes, it is very common for your Dr. to give you medication, or more likely to just allow this to happen naturally.  You do have that option instead of taking the medication.  It can take a bit longer, but when it's this early the physical part of it is not difficult.  The emotional can be harder on you.

Again, I'm so very sorry for your loss and I wish you peace and healing.
