miscarriage ?

I went to the er last Thursday and that gave me an ultrasound but couldn't see an embryo in the gestastional sack but my hcg levels read around 1000 which measured me at about 5 weeks 4 days. They urged me to do repeat blood work on Saturday which read my hcg levels jumped up to 13000. Followed up with obgyn on Monday and ultrasound still couldn't see an embryo and they measured me at 5 weeks 2 days. They scheduled me again for next Monday for another ultrasound and told me to "prepare myself mentally ". I have light cramping but no pain or bleeding at all. On my paperwork they put on my diagnosis "threatened abortion, antiparticle " I'm so confused and worried.

I went to the ER when I was almost 5 weeks pregnant and they couldn't even see a sac yet, let alone an embryo. They even did a vaginal ultrasound. It scared the hell out of my boyfriend and I, but now I'm 16 weeks along and baby is perfectly healthy. Don't worry, the doctors only tell you "threatened miscarriage" because they want to cover their ***** in case something goes wrong. Most likely, you are having a normal pregnancy, the odds are in your favor so don't stress!

I just found out I'm four weeks pregnant, and my OB told me to come in when I'm five or six weeks to test my betas and if they're high enough we can do an ultrasound and heartbeat. But she also said that its common to not see anything or find a heartbeat til your 7-8 weeks along. Try not to stress too much :)

See that's the weird part! Every ultrasound they've done HAS been vaginal. I just don't know why they would be telling me to prepare myself mentally for bad news. Plus other people have told Mr they sent understand why I've had three ultrasound before I'm even 7 weeks. And my hcg levels should be measuring me at about 6 weeks

At 5  weeks its way to early to see anything in an ultrasound. If you want to see baby ask for a vaginal ultrasound. I was 7  weeks for my first and they had to do a vaginal ultrasound to see and measure everything. So i wouldn't worry if your HCG levels are moving up.
