I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, BUT FROM DAY 1 OF MY PREGNANCY. I'M NOW 11WKS. AND I HAD TO BE ADMITTED INTO THE ER FOR DEHYDRATION, I COULDN'T EVEN KEEP DOWN WATER. I'VE TRIED EVERY TRICK AND EVERY REMEDY, BUT GOT NO RESULTS, BUT THEN MY DR PRESCRIBED ME ZOFRAN, AND IT HAS WORKED MIRACLES. I FEEL A MILLION TIMES BETTER. GOOD LUCK ON WHATEVER YOU DECIDE.
Thanks :) ill try it all, anything to keep my baby healthy
I was the same way at 6-8 weeks. The meds the doc gave me to help with it only made it come up faster. A friend of mine gave me some good advice and told me to eat what I crave. What you crave is most likely what will stay down bc its what baby has put on your mind. Dont just eat whats around if you dont have to. You want a pickle? Get one. You want a sausage biscuit at 5 in the evening? Fix it. It worked for me, that & good old campbell chicken noodle soup.
If it keeps up and is extreme, you may have to go to doc to be rehydrated.
Otherwise you can try any or all of these; I've found effectiveness varies a lot by the day:
Peppermint tea or mints
Ginger (in tea or candies, best if you use fresh ginger grated into hot
Lemon
Plain, salted potato chips
Sprite, 7-Up or ginger ale (sip slowly)
Also try drinking and eating at different times, like an hour in between. I tried eating a few bites instead of getting a drink first thing the last couple mornings and it really helped me.
I've taken to keeping SlimFast shakes, bananas, crusty bread and cottage cheese in my house -- just a couple mild, high-nutrient options where you can try getting a couple bites down here and there. The BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce and toast) also provides adequate nutrition short-term.
go to midwife or docs!!!
i've been put on tablets they not quite working yet but fingers crossed!!
good luck :)
