mommas with laparoscopy scar

So the bigger my belly gets, the more the inside of my belly button where my surgery scars are itches. Sometimes a clear liquid comes out and It starts to stink quick ( sorry, gross). The two lower ones dont bug me at all. It burns and is bright red and really irritating. I had this surgery 10 months ago. Is this normal? I have an appointment next wednesday with my OB, and im not sure if I sbould bring it up or not. Hes not the doctor who performsd the surgery.

That makes sense. The band of my pants ( when I wear actual pants) lays right over my belly button, and on days that ibwear shorts or pants thay dont cover it I dont have a problem. Thanks I will try and if I dont see changes by next wed ill bring it up to my doc

Okay I had this problem earlier in my pregnancy when I started wearing maternity pants and the weather started getting colder. I took an ear cotton swab thing and dipped it in alcohol and cleaned all around, then rubbed the other side on my deoderant and put it in there. Its basically a yeast infection because the belly button isn't dry enough, there is no air getting to it, and its hot and dark. So the alcohol cleans it out, and the deodorant keeps it dry. Try it, if it doesn't work then bring it up to your doc.

I have the scars from gull bladder removal and that don't sound normal. I would get it checked out.

Yes bring it up. I am 35 weeks and that has never happened to me. Although mine is a little lower than my belly button because I have my belly button pierced.

I would bring it up. Doesn't sound normal to me. Sounds like it could be infected.
