I felt the same way! I have always been thin, so the awkward fat looking stage just sucked. Then 20w weeks came and this giant belly showed up. Idk what's worse sometimes lol
I can relate.. I've lost a lot of weight since my first trimester but I'm 18weeks and in most clothes I just look like I have a pot belly. I have been wearing yoga pants and dress shirts but its burning me out..
I tried on my old jeans today, they fit and everything looked great until I turned to the side and my tummy was just hanging out.. I couldn't do anything to hide it. :(
My fiance pulled out a surprise he had been saving though, a belly band! It supports and if you are smallish still it rounds your belly and makes you look like you are preggers and not fat. It also works out if you have pants that you can't zip and button comfortably because it pulls down far enough to hide it.. you can't even tell they are undone.
Lol I have 3 pairs of pants and one pair of shorts. Tops galore though. I just couldn't get a grip the other night. But yeah hormones are in overdrive. :/ lol
Girl, i spent a whole day looking for a bikini that fit my top....guess what? I didnt go to the beach that day....i broke down crying...by 6pm i found a top that kinda fit but wasnt what i wanted...ended up going the next day to the beach with that top and shorts....never had a hard time with bikinis before....im now 21weeks and my belly has popped out lol...btw i was 19weeks when i went to the beack :-p
Yep. I'm 17w+1 and totally understand. It's even worse because I'm not out of the closet with the pregnancy to anyone but hubby yet.
I still fit in my jeans but I have to use a bellybutton band so i can keep them Unbuttoned. I've got cute maternity tops but I'm still not telling anyone so i don't want to try to "look" pregnant but I mostly just look fat.
And I think our hormones are on super overdrive right now too so that's not helping.
Just remember you're making another person and the morons that stare are oblivious.
