I have bilateral inguinal hernias and informed my new doc right off the bat. They had an OR room ready incase one of my hernias ruptured during delivery bc if not immediately treated it could have infected me really bad and they would need to remove them. Luckily I did not need that OR. But its good to discuss all aspects with dr and be ready than fretting in heat of moment.

I'm not sure about complications but I ripped my pelvic muscles a couple of weeks ago and they said if I have a hernia there's nothing they can do about it while I'm pregnant.
