Ok, so don't get me wrong because I love my mother in law she is truly great... SOMETIMES.

She can be really annoying and over bearing at times too, I don't even like posting anything on Facebook anymore because she will literally scroll down my page and like or comment on everything... She's crazy lol
Sorry I'm just venting...

Anyone else have an overbearing mother in-law?

im on the same page with you, my mother in law is at work since 5am-6pm, but when she gets home is chaos. she goes nuts if she finds a dirty spoon and little things like that. but she is really nice, easy to talk to when i cant talk to her son, but on the other hand, my father in law, hates how she makes me clean so much, thats why they argue alot, since im always getting sick and stuff, he dont want to risk anything with his grandaughter..

Lol o my my my. Let's talk about my mother in law sounds like fun. She's from el Mexico D.f  ever suncr I got together with hes son she used to be so rude to me. I mean rude comments like idk why my son got witg u if he had so much pretty girlfriends than u. That is onr if the reason I don't get along with her. When she found I was pregnant cuz my boyfriend couldn't wait to tell her (which was a bad idea) she made a face like ohh ur barely 5weeks like trying to mean your still to early meaning I can losse it or something.  All She brag about was u better not get fat u have to walk and walk and bla bla bla. I was like nop im going to eat all I want cuz im pregnant and I deserve it lol.

and im really hoping she doesnt over step her boundaries becausevibwill freak out and she will hate me.. shes already planning me a baby shower.. which is okay but im 16 weeks and dont even know the gender yet!?!?! What am I gonna do? She even wants to be in the delivery room!!!

Lol.  Luckily we do not live with my in laws anymore.   Right now she's still mad at me because I  made her give me the copy of my door key back so she wouldn't come in my house when she feels like it.

Same here, she's from Sinaloa and she wants everything perfect for her son, his lunch has to be a certain way his clothes have to be washed every three days she expects me sit with him when he's eating even if I'm not, I guess Mexicans just have a diff way of living... I'm also Mexican but damn a man can eat alone sometimes but I LOVE YOU HER DEATH, & her cooking hahaha, I live with them so I need to get over that she wants the best for her son and just wants to see him happy, sex is all he needs to be happy not his clothes washed lmao

Mines the same way.  I dont even post if I'm doing things with my friends because then she gets jealous that I didn't spend my free time with her.

Mine isnt over bearing as such but both in laws are very blunt sometimes and dont think before they speak. So sometimes I get angry because they can be rude and insulting and dont think of how things can affect other people. I think maybe just trying to be as patient as possible when you can is a good option but there is a line and if you feel its being crossed the best way is to communicate in a mature way and let them know how you're feeling (hard I know). Maybe they become so involved cause as they get older they dont have as much in their life as they used to?
