mucus plug

The past few days my discharge has changed to be clear and string like is this my mucus plug I'm a ftm and thought that the plug is meant to contain blood? Also I've had a lot more tightenings  which start to release then get tighter, after them I get lower backache a dull ache and some period cramps. All of this is bareable  and not overly painful.  Is this a sign that baby is on his way? I just hate not knowing what to expect.

I had the same to start and then over the next couple days it also contained blood so yeah sounds right ☺

Hay, yeah that sounds like what ive got too. Its baby no 3 and I get stringy clear jelly like clumps then I get a large palm of hand size lump that is tinged with blood ( the plug) sorry if tmi. Im 37 weeks btw xx
