I'm so very sick..

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and I'm constantly sick.I can't keep food or water down. Can't keep my vitamins down, or any over the counter nausea medication I have for motion sickness that was recommended to me. My family is afraid I will get dehydrated and have a miscarriage. What do I do? My GYN is booked until January 10th.

I had this problem really bad from week 5 to week 13. I tried everything the doctor suggested but nothing worked for me. The doc says if you take half a tablet of unisom before bed, that at least helped so I didn't throw up as soon as I woke up.. I was throwing up 7-8 times a day for about a week and when I told my doc she still didn't prescribe me anything, just said it should go away by about week 13. I was pissed, but actually she was right. But if you feel dehydrated, go in immediately.

Im going to be 7 weeks on Wednesday and last week my nausea kicked in. An empty stomach makes it worse. I would maybe try going to the er and seeing what they can do for you. I truly hope you feel better.

If you can't keep water down try making ice cubes of Gatorade or some type of juice.....you can try crushing them to make ice chips because at least you will be hydrated!!!!! And I wasn't getting sick I just had really bad nausea with no appetite for anything but I found anything salty did the trick.....potato chips, saltines or goldfish!!!!! They saved my life!!!! I'm almost 11weeks now and I feel great!!! Good luck

I was like that too. I called my doctor and she asked how long its been I told her 2 days. Anyways the point is if your not keeping anything down even water go to the e.r I did and they will hook you up to some ivs and check baby's hb and prescribe you some zofran most likely and it helps so much

How long has it been since you've been able to keep anything down? In a way having morning sickness and motion sickness is normal. Some women just can't keep anything down. But if its been a day or two, I would highly suggest going straight to the hospital. They will hook you up to an IV that will hydrate you and will also contact your doctor. If they can't get a hold of him/her, they will contact one on duty.

If u can't stop throwing up and u can't keep any liquids down and are to the point of dry heaves you do need to go to the hospital to at least get hydrated.    Praying you get better. And the hospital will also prescribe you zofran most likely.   That will help with nausea
