trying to conceive a girl

Im very scared. Maybe someone can help me. I think i ovulated earlier then what i expected.. i was post to ovulate on sept 4 but on sept 1st i think i got 2 lines on my opk. And i checked my opk today and it was only one line. Im try to conceive a girl. So i thought i was doing everything right by having BD 3 to five days before ovulation. But when i had bd on what i thought was my 3rd day before ovulation later that day i got a positive opk. Do u think i still have a good chance of having a girl?

We had sex a few days before my ovulation date and got pregnant, we're having a girl, like the other ladies have said, it's 50/50, no matter what you do. So even if you had sex on the "right" days it's not going to change anything. I've found NOT hoping one way or the other really helps, I can imagine why you are though, I have one boy and was just hoping for a healthy baby, but would've been THRILLED with a girl, I had myself convinced it was a boy by my U/S and was very shocked to find out it was a girl, I hope you get your girl, but most importantly, a healthy baby! :)

Thanks for the comments..  i just have three boys which i wouldnt trade for anything. But im just ready on that one lil girl. But if its a boy ill get over it quick fast in a hurry.. lol.. just was trying to have some hope... but not trying to have u put TMI on here dcsteed but was that the only day u BD. Was also days before as well?

You have a 50/50 chance of having a girl, the same chance as everyone else. The sperm is what decides what the sex will be, not when you're having sex. Sorry to rain on your parade. Just don't try so hard for a girl, I would hate to see you disappointed if you had a boy. You will love your baby so much regardless of what it is.

I had sex right on ovulation day and I am having a girl, so it's honestly luck of the draw with what you end up with. Good luck!
