please help me choose between the 2. the whole pregnancy my husband and i have been calling the baby isabella and telling everyone that we're naming her isabella. we'll im starting to fall in love with lily too. please dont just choose lily because isabella is common right now. thank you all for your help!

My step-daughter's name is Isabella Marie, lol.  :)  I still picked Isabella, because if I didn't already have an Isabella, I would consider naming my new one that (don't know what we're having yet.  Our Isabella also told us that we should name the baby Isabella if it's a girl.  She said we could call her Isabella, and the baby Bella, so no confusion. LOL  
I told her I would love to name the baby after her, but she is our only, very special Isabella.
Anyway.  I like both names.  Lilliana is really beautiful and you've actually put that thought into my head if we have a girl.

I chose Isabella, but I think Lilliana is a really beautiful name...So honestly I don't think you can go wrong with either of them!

lilliana is SOOOO pretty,that is my DF lil cousin name and if it wasn't and I was having a girl that would be on my list.....( but we don't need 2 liliana's running around lol ) & as you said you could nickname her lily for short.

You could always give her 2 middle names.  Lily Marie Isabelle?? or Isabella Lily Marie?

i was going to use marie as a middle name because that is mine and my moms - but lily isabella sounds so pretty too

Why not Lily Isabelle? or Isabella Lily?  Liliana Isabelle is pretty too.

Hi I chose Lily because it is so pretty, so is Isabella...mmaybe you can name her Lily isabella that would be nice!

i think both of those names are beautiful :) and they are both on my list if i ever have a girl :) but, if i had to really choose i love the name isabella just because of the shorter versions you can use too :) and i think what really ties it down for me is a i used to have a pet named lily, but they are still both pretty :)

I chose Isabella, that was the name we were going to pick if we had a girl. I think that it has become so much more common in the past few years but I still love it so much and think it is a beautiful name and can have a few short forms such as Izzy (thats what we would have called her), Bella, Ella....all are beautiful!

I agree, I chose Lily, Isabella is too common, although lily is too its not as common as isabelle.  And isabelle is getting more and more popular, and Lily is kinda dying down.

I like Lily!  It is my nieces name who is 6 months old, but her name is Lillia ... Lily for short.  Isabella is a beautiful name, but I am not a fan of over used names because having a name like Heather (which was so popular for girls born in the 80's) I had at least 3 in my class and it was very confusing.  Although, I don't hear of too many now that I am an adult.

I voted for lily, I think isabella is pretty but its SO common, I know lily is too, but I just hear isabella all the time!! Either way they are both very pretty names
