So I'm a ftm I'm 38+1 and I've been slowly loosing my plug.... and jw if contractions start before or after ur water breaks? Because I think I have been haveing actual contractions.... my braxton hicks was just my tummy tightng up...
I lost the entire plug, started having contractions and my water part way broke at the hospital, and my dr broke the rest.
It is quite possible that you are having contractions, just keep track of them, like the timing in between them, and the pain level.

I started having contractions 3 days before I gave birth I never lost any of my plug and they broke my water at the hospital. I guess its ist different for everybody
My contractions started before my mucus plug started coming out (I lost it all at once before I had my son, not gradually) then my water half broke, still having contractions, and they had to break it the rest of the way at the hospital, contractions for me started before my water broke though, it varies for everyone. Did your mucus plug start coming all at once today or have you been losing it??
