I would do anythin g for my baby. I'm at the very begining you could say just starting my pregnancy like literally just 2weeks still not even pregnant yet but I do feel certain symptoms like my breast and bloating and since my husband and I are trying I've been on a hard core diet and I'm working on getting insurance so I can start going to the doctor.

My a1c went from 14.5 to 7.8 in less than 3 months. Haha! I put myself through "preggo diabetic boothcamp!" Lol... everything for my baby!

Same here!!! My aic was 12 and dropped to 9.4 in a couple months. I know its even lower now that im pregnant and working my butt off to keep my sugars down. First off test constantly. Second take your insulin. Third keep a pretty regular carb schedule. And always always tell your doc whats up. I keep having to adjust my insulin because im have a lot of lows in the 40-60range especially overnight. Just do your absolute best. Its hard to get into the swing of doing it right but our babies all have like 7+ strikes against them just because were diabetics. Do your best to make your baby as healthy as possible

I know that there are risks, and the concern is awful... but right know I've had no problems with my pregnancy, my baby girl is healthy and I am hoping for the best! Go to the doctor, go to a nutritionist and take your meds as directed. Keep calm and positive hun! How many weeks are you?

I have type 1 diabetes and I am 20+5 weeks pregnant with a baby girl... I was NOT controlling my blood sugar levels before getting pregnant, and I thought I couldn't get pregnant... I had my A1c Hgb levels at 14.5 and my usual glucose level was 300 and up! ... When I knew I was expecting I ran to de DR and they gave me high doses of insulin. I use a total of 129 units of insulin daily and I use Metformin 1,000 daily. I am not having a strong diet, I just quit with the regular soda, I use integral bread, sugar free juice or diet ones and let me tell you that I have NEVER been sooooo controlled with my sugar levels!! Right know, I dont go up from 140-150!! I woke up with 95-118 and I keep those levels during the day.
