so I fell in love with the name Madelyn but a friend had her baby n named her that. When I find out I cried lol now I'm stuck with no name and have less then a month to my due date:(

Just go with it unless you guys are super close (like sisters). If its one of those friends that you don't talk to that much I don't see why u can use the name too. I mean its just a name. I can name a bunch of my friends and even my friends kids who have the same middle name as my daughter. Even the one I'm pregnant with has the same middle name as a friends daughter. Its just names we fell in love with.

Very true! Thanks. It's hard picking a name and that seemed to be the only name I liked I'm very picky lol

Just do it,  Just because she had her baby first doesn't mean she owns that name.  I know a lot of babies with that name.  If she gets offended say it's a family name and that's what you planned on naming her from the beginning.  I bet you've already referred to your baby as Madelyn as well.  Don't change it

So what if your friends baby has the same name? I say use it! I don't mean to sound super nagative but I can count on 1 hand the friends I have now that I had even 5 years ago. People grow and change and one day you may regret not naming your baby what you wanted.... Especially if y'all don't even speak anymore. I say go for it. Its a pretty name.
