at my 20week scan they did a regular ultrasound and then a 3D one. I love my doctor he is awesome. My insurance only covers 2 ultrasounds which is my internal one and my 20wk ultrasound but my doctor gives all his patients a 3D ultrasound at 32wks for free:) I am 22w1d and im so excited to get the 3D scan

I went to a private place and paid for it at 16 weeks they revealed the gender it was cool but baby doesn't have much fat yet so we are going back at like 36 weeks.

A private scan is one done as a private practice. Like I said, you can Google places near you that do private scans.

im having one done at 16 weeks and 5 days so i can find out the sex early and another at 28 weeks so i can see what my bubba looks like with a little fat on him/her. iv only got 2 weeks till i have my first one im dead excited :)
mines a private scan as hospitals wont do them unless for medical reasons x

You can Google 3 and 4D ultrasounds around where you live. I'm not sure if your doctor will do one unless they deem it medically necessary. If you'd like to pay to get one done, I'd wait until later on in the pregnancy so you'll see more human characteristics. Early on in the pregnancy the baby typically looks like an alien lol.
