new on here and weight question

Okay I am new on here. well new to everything actually. My name is Jennifer I am 20 years old. and I am 10 weeks 4 days pregnant. just kind of wanted friends on here.

my question is I found out I was pregnant on Dec. 4th and I weighed 198. Since I found out I lost a lot of weight 10 pounds. so I weigh 188. Is that normal? Or should I be worried. cause I'm worried right now.

He started moving at around 15 weeks. Just little movements. But at around 19 weeks my fiancé could feel him and now he is non stop most nights! :) we do have a name and I can't wait to meet my little man !

I was worried this time too, I have never lost this much before & always back to pre-pregnancy weight by the fourth month, this time I hadn't even started gaining again at the beginning if the fifth month,

It's funny, lots of us seemed to weigh 198 pre-pregnancy! I lost 12lbs & have gained back 8 so far. I didn't start taunting again until into my 5th month.

In the first trimester weight loss is normal. As you get nearer and close into the second trimester it should slowly diminish and get better. It is, however, important that you force yourself to eat, even if it's just a few crackers. I had hyperemesis with my daughter and spent my entire pregnancy vomiting and nauseated 24/7. At the time of delivery I weighed less than my pre-pregnancy weight, and never actually gained weight. She was born 6 pounds 12 ounces and is a very happy, intelligent 16 month old. The baby will take what it needs from your body, and it will hurt you before the baby. Make sure you're taking your prenatal (before bed or on a full stomach is best) and for now just eat what stays down - plenty of time for you to focus more healthy when you can eat more.

Yeah! Just don't worry and try not to stress. This is my first and I puked non stop from week 4-week 20.5. I just got a little respite from the nausea and all of a sudden the pregnancy is so much more fun! I made the mistake of reading all about miscarriage and preterm labor and all that horrible stuff and it scared me until my little boy started kicking and moving and wiggling. Still scares me on days when I can't feel him but it all works out! Congratulations and try to enjoy the bonding time you and the little one have right now!

Thank you so much! Both of you.
I don't get to so my Dr till the 18th. its my first time going so hopefully everything is good. I've just been nauseated a lot so havnt had to much of a appetite.  and just nervous about this being my first pregnancy. I read a lot about miscarriages and it scares me. I know everyone is diff. and I shouldn't worry to much about it. but just over thinking I suppose.

You should only worry if your doctor tells you you're losing to much :-).  I'm in the same exact boat you are.  I'm 20 wks though lol. I weighed 198 pre prego, lost 10 lbs, and I'm just now gaining back.  With nausea, stress, and everything else out can be hard to not lose a couple pounds in your first trimester :-) congrats btw!

I was in the same boat as you! I weighed 187 when I started and dropped six lbs by the time I was 10ish weeks. I've since gained five lbs and my doctor saysy baby is growing wonderfully at 21w1d. Having the little extra weight when I began gave the baby some extra weight and stored nutrients to work with. Hes doing really well and I actually look a lot healthier than before and have an adorable baby bump to go with it! As long as the doctor says you're good, I'd listen :) just relax and enjoy and be sure to get plenty of water and nutrient rich foods!
