Over here you can bath them whenever you want. We only ever put a couple inches water in and used a sponge to wash his, and cotton wool to clean his stump til it fell off, Mr gets a bath every night and has done since 2w, before that he was every other day x

I gave mine sponge baths every other day til cord fell off, my daughters took a little longer cuz she had a slight umbical hernia. @ babydue for cradle cap I used a new soft head tooth brush and gently scrubbed her scalp a few times w shampoo during her bath and  it worked great...are you ready for your LO? I'm so excited for you to have your baby girl :)

They'll tell you sponge bath baby until cord heals and if you having a boy and he gets circumcised you wait until that heals too. My son is 5 weeks and he doesn't like his bathtub just yet so I still sponge bath him everyday.

I have a little sponge(it's kind of like those sponges you can use to put make up on) but I might just use my hand to rub on her head. They said if you run really hot water and put 2 tablespoons in and stir it up the baby oil will desolve, then just add some cold water so it gets back to around 89°- 96°

After I stopped bf after a month cuz I was completely dry my son got cradle cap we put baby oil on it and it cleared it up super fast. Lotion also didn't work for my kiddo any kind he always looked ( to this day 10 months old) looks dry if we use lotion so baby oil after a bath works for him.

Lol I have baby oil too , they said to only use it like once a week on dry skin and there scalp, my grandma said she used to rub it on my head to try and get my hair to grow faster (idk if this is a old wise tale or if it really works but I will see :) )

The nurse at the hospital said you can put lotion on the baby but until a week or so there skin could still be "flaky" in places I'm going to try and see Johnson Johnsons is the best moistureisor I heard :) but baby's skin drys out alot faster than ours

Ok Idk if this is a dumb question or not but does putting a little lotion on their hair prevent cradle cap?

Everyother day just make sure to put lotion on her :) some doctors don't recommend bathing baby until umbilical cord falls off but mine said I could give her sponge baths (put like 2 inches of water in the baby tub and use a sponge or baby cloth and clean her just try not to get the umbilical cord wet because that will just take it longer to dry up and fall off)

Well technically your not supposed to bathe a newborn until they lose the little umbilical cord. So I would say just wipe the baby with wipes everyday until then. I gave my daughter a bath once a week after she lost hers then just wiped him/her off with wipes.
