apples are like the main fruit that i eat regularly lol. i also eat lots of multigrain bread and pasta, and meat too. i guess my body just does have a hard time absorbing the iron. i think but im not positive, that feosol is slow release. but i took it with orange juice today, and that seemed to help. so maybe that's a good solution to the nausea. good to know about the milk though, cause i have been taking them when i eat my cereal in the morning so i'll have to quit doing that! thanks! :)
try taking slow release iron (i eat a ton of iron rich foods and im still anemic...sometimes the food isnt enough or your body has trouble absorbing the iron your giving it)
Anyway, the slow release tablets slowly release the iron into your system throughout the day and are way less hard on your system. Everything makes me nauseous it seems so i opted for the slow release tablets and they are awesome! they up my energy and dont make me sick to my stomach in the slightest...i also take my pills in the morning with orange juice because vitamin C helps absorb iron whereas calcium counteracts the absorption..so never take them with milk!
why dont u eat tons of apples.????? instead of the supplements...... my friend had very low iron, and doc told her to eat like 3 apples a day....... seems much more pleasant to eat apples rather then drink pills.......
