I also have a friend how was pregnant twice with twins and each time one of the twins has died in the first few months and the second one survived. she did not miscarry the dead fetus, remained in her womb until delivery!
I think what kelly said about the infection is true, but I also think that the body has the ability to basically "re-absorb" the fetus if it is still very very small, and also I was told a story by my ob/gyn of a case where one fetus had died and the other lived, the one that died had actually calcified and stayed that way until delivery. Don't know if they were in the same sac, but it shows that it's possible..
i was having twins in the begining of this pregnancy and ended up m/c one of them they were not in the same sac so i am not sure
I not really sure but on one of my BBT sites there was a lady on there who was having twins not sure if they were in the same sac or not but she lost one at 14 weeks but doctor told here the child will just stay in there till the other one is born. It is sad :( but they say it the other chiild angel watching over. But I hope this help little does not mean have to loose the other one wont make it.
I believe that if they are in the same sac, that if you lost one, you would lose the other.....I'm not 100% sure, but I would think that if one passed, it would cause infection in the other b/c you would not be able to expell the one that passed.......Others may have more detailed info. on this though...
How far along are you? I think that after you've had a M/C you're always scared...I lost twins in Dec. and am now 10 weeks, 5 days with a singleton and am a nervous wreck every day.......I think that's normal.......I rented a doppler and use it twice a day so that helps keep me a little sane! Best wishes!
Im not really sure. But my sister was a twin, My mom miscarriage the one a few weeks in.......
I think it's about 50/50 and depends on the reason for the miscarriage, which could contribute to other things. It depends on what the cause was.. But I hope everything comes out fine!
