no heartbeat no embryo only yolk sac

my doctor thinks I'm 7 1/2 weeks but isn't sure because I'm not sure of the exact dates of my last period in July all that is visible is a yolk sac no heartbeat no embryo but I have not had any cramping or bleeding issues my dr believes I am going to miscarry & offered giving me pills to up start it but I refused I see alot of women say that they were at 8 or 9 weeks when they finally saw both I'm just really worried and afraid this is my first child and was planned and wanted does this happen often ???

God 2 weeks wait must be horrible! At my first ultrasound (5weeks) they told me that nothing was seen, not even a sack! So they did a vaginal us & still nothing.. The report said no pregnancy or complete abortion already (miscarried) i was like WTF. Cried my eyes out, they put me in hospital for eptopic coz my levels where still rising.. & then all of a sudden they found my baby in the uterus!! She said i must of been earlier than what we thought, but now that baby is growing he has been showing that I would have been 7 weeks at that time..
Couldnt you go in for another blood test in a few days instead of a few weeks to.see how your levels are going?

I didn't have any signs at all, no bleeding no cramping nothing, first time I was 6 weeks no heart beat and 12 weeks second time heart stopped, both time I had no sign of a miscarriage so just bc ur not having any sign doesn't mean ur not having one, not trying to upset u just letting u know

thank you how far along we're you when the symptoms came I'm really worried but I feel like I haven't had any pains or bleeding thus far and would expect that if I was mc so I'm hoping for the best when I go back in 2 weeks

Just prepare urself for the worse if ur levels doubled I wuldnt make a decision I will tell u both times I miscarried I had no signs no cramps no bleeding nothing, it was a total shock!!

I was 7 weeks when they found sack and yolk no fetal or heartbeat. 9 weeks the size difference was unreal I then had a massive sack baby and heartbeat I am now 13 weeks with a beautiful baby. Don't take any tabs for at least 3 weeks. Good luck xxx

Follow up u/s is very important b4 mking any decisions. I had 3 u/s b4 i was told tht i had mc. I had all symptoms started with pink spottings thn brownish on/off n worst period pains. I was told at 8 weeks baby was still 6weeks 5 days. I started spotting after wards for a week 1/12/11 thursday i was diagnosed with mc. Thn i kept spotting till i should hve been 10weeks. Thn nxt thursday i started passing tissues till next thursday. So basically i sprnt whole december bleeding. I m sure u wont miss mc. Evn in missed mc after a while ur body wil tell sumthing is rong. So keep reading ur body signs

My first in february I misscarried but I was bleeding. But all I developed was the yolk sac never nething else and then I didnt have to have a dnc I just bled it all out

thanks yea about 3 weeks ago they had me do the blood work and my numbers more than doubled in that 48 hours not having any miscarriage symptoms is what gives me faith

Since ur not sure of ur dates I deffinitly wouldnt not take a pill to help miscarriage. Ive had miscarriages in the past and ive always bleed. We didnt see heart beat or baby till 6wks maybe ur just not far enough along. In my oppinion you should wait a week or so and go back in. im shocked ur dr. offered u a pill with no misscarriage signs. Even when ive been bleeding they just send me home and tell me to take it easy and if its going to happen it will. Did they test ur hcg/beta levels if they did ask that they retest in 48hrs ur numbers should double. Goodluck!

I would wait it out since you are unsure of ur dates and have another scan in a few weeks.  Good luck.
