Myth or Truth Ladies. I have heard a rumor and I'm wondering if it could be true. Can Ovulation tests detect pregnancy? The hormones I'm sure. is it possible to have a negative pt and an ov test will pick it up?

Yes- they can be positive for pregnancy as well but not as predictable or correct as HPT because the OPK tests for LH whereas HPT tests for HCG.

:) lol Thank you. Congratulations on your BFP. I'm really excited. I got my first pos pok test today. My most recent HPT was neg. but i have been nauseas and have a couple other symptoms. That is why I asked. Plan on taking another soon. Maybe I will get my BFP.

YES, it IS true! OPK tests are not as sensitive as HPT tests though and can be subject to higher errors.

idk if its true.....I have an OPk test in my bag and I got a Bfp today So I am going to test with my opk right now!
