I know this may sound a little weird or may even be a dumb question but are an taste buds change while pregnant? I am 8+4w. I have a dominican husband and I am white but I only make dominican foods. Before I was pregnant I LOVED dominican food and all the meals are easy to make so I didn't mind switching from american food to dominican but since I got pregnant they all taste absolutely horrible. No matter what I make and I only want american food like mashed potatoes and macaroni. I never had morning sickness. I have had a little nausea but when I have dominican food it nearly makes me throw up. Will it go back to normal soon? Because my husband doesn't want american food.

the reason your taste buds change during pregnancy is because you have more hormones in your body that will change your taste buds, and your hormones won't back to normal until after pregnancy.

unfortunately your taste buds won't go back to normal until after pregnancy, you usually dislike all the food you love and the only things you can eat is the food you're craving, my Advice is that yoy start making two different meals for you and your husband because if not you will only get sick and won't be able to eat, hopefully he'll understand and won't be mad, you can always take him to a doctor appointment and have your doctor explained it to him.
