not dilating enough

Have you ladies ever dilated to a certain amount of centimetres close to your due date and then sped right up? I am 39 weeks and 4 days and ive been only 1 cm for the past 2 weeks and I'm afraid to go over my due date. Just wondering if it has happened to anyone where your dilation sped up last min?

I was 1 1/2 centimeters for like a month and then when I was 39 weeks 2 days I woke up with the worst contractions so I went in to the hospital. I had been having contractions for a couple months but they weren't that bad but that morning I couldn't takr the amount of pain I was in. I was dialated to 3 and a hour later after I got the epidural I was 4 and he broke my water and a hour later I was 6 and a hour later I was 9 and started pushing and had my baby boy 6 hours after I went in to the hospital. You can be 1 for a while but its once your baby decides to come it can speed up pretty fast! Good luck!
