obsessed w/ smells

im having my 2nd baby girl in just 5 weeks and just like with my 1st pregnancy i am becoming super obsessed with the smell of laundry detergent/softener and cleaning supplies like pine sol or anything that smells fresh. i literally stood in the detergent aisle trying to pick the best and strongest/long lasting yummy smelling one which took me about 15-20 minutes! i opened each one and sniffed so long i started to make myself a little light headed. doesnt matter how bad i feel, i eill force myself to wash EVERYTHING in my house and scrub everything i can just so i can smell all the amazing scents. i feel like a freaking drug addict! it just smells so good i can't take it! i almost want to eat it (but i totally would never do that).  anyone else experience this???

I'm obsessed with the smell of comet and washing powder I just sit and play in baking soda the Dr said it's called pica and it's normal

I'm having my baby tomorrow morning but I have been sk obsessed with pine sol, its very bad. my iron was low and once it came back up it wasent as bad

It is not a mental illness alkhall. It is actually normal during pregnancy. Your senses are heightened during pregnancy. Now eating these things is called pica. Some pregnant women do go through this but is not heathly of course pregnant or not. As long as your just smelling I don't see the issue now as far as the pine Sol you might want to be careful and other cleaning supplies. I love smelling my clothes after washing them nothing could smell better to me!

I am the same way lol I will just walk through my house spraying febreeze. I also use to store dryer sheets in my sleeves so I could smell them throughout the day

You sound like when my boss was pregnant she constantly cleaned her desk with the purple lysol cleaner I think the kind infused with gain or febrezee, so idk I guess it's normal but not good for you I remember taking the bottle away from her numerous of times lol
