old pain coming back (need advice)

In 2008 I had surgery on my R knee to remove part of my meniscus due to it being severely torn.  Currently I am 5 months preg, I've only gained 8lbs this pregnancy and the pain has come back in the same area.  When I walk, sometimes it drags me down because it hurts.  It fells like someone stabbed me behind my knee w/ a knife.  If i sit with my knees bent/folded, I can feel the same pain.  I apply pressure to the painful area, it feels tender and sore.

I am waiting for my OB's nurse station to get back with me on this ... I don't have a PCP and I am on state Medicaid.  I didn't know if there is anything my OB can do, or help me with, or if it would be worth making an apt to go see her if she can do anything about this?

If you are in pain, it is always a good idea to get checked out. If your waiting for the call back just see what she says.

But It could be water build up from the surgery because of the added pressure from the baby, even though you have only gained 8lbs, You have extra volume of blood, it could be so many things, a clot, anything. Just try resting the leg and applying a cold/warm press to it. Might help.

I bet physical therapy would help. With the hormones it relaxes everything and sometimes joints that have has prior injury complain about the pregnancy hormones.
