should i be worried??
a month ago i had blood work done to comfirm a home pregnancy test. the blood work came back positive and hcg level is 41, 850. i looked online to see how far along i would be according to an hcg level and it said approx 6 weeks. today i went to see the obgyn and she checked for heartbeat and we couldnt hear anything. should i be worried?
In uk thy dont evn use doppler until u r above 22 weeks or so... I only had scan between 12wks -14 wks. I hady scan done at 14+3 from lmp. My scan showed i ws 13+1 with healthy n active baby i only saw hb on scan.. Now i hve to rely on baby's movement through out pregnancy... I only got 1scan at 20wks...so dont worry... Scan should show everything clearly...
Well, the 6 weeks hcg level (41,850) was read during blood tests on August 30th. And that was about 2 weeks ago, so should i really be at 8 weeks now from that last blood test two weeks ago? i do have an ultrasound scheduled this coming up tuesday so hopefully i will see something by then.

I'm almost 14 weeks and only just heard the heartbeat as my midwife said I won't hear it through ultra sound till 20 weeks. I saw the heartbeat at 6 weeks. So please don't worry it's normal
My Dr wouldn't even check 4 a hb until I was at least 8 weeks BC he said it was 2 early. So don't worry!
I saw the heartbeat when I was six weeks but my tech said it was too early to hear...at 8weeks I heard mine :)...so I wouldn't be worried!
I would have been concerned if she had found the heart beat this early lol. My OB/GYN had predicted me being about 6 wks with my 4 yr old, but she had founf a heartbeat and I told her that cant be right. So she pulled some strings for me and got me an ultrasound that same day - turned out I was actually 4 months!
Its very hard to find hb with doppler at 6wks.. If ur obgyn had any concerns she would hve referred u for scan.. So take it easy and stay calm...
No, its common to not find the heartbeat with a Doppler til 12+ weeks...
